Rosario Welle, was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, and came to the US in 1993. Rosario is a freelance Spanish-English translator, copy editor, and proofreader in the fields of education (Pre-k-12), public media and communications, marketing, and healthcare.

Rosario has served two terms on the American Translators Association Spanish Division’s Leadership Council, including two terms as division administrator (2016-2020). In addition to her professional activities, Rosario loves to serve as a mentor and volunteer for organizations seeking the advancement and emotional and physical wellbeing of women in the United States. Rosario is one of the founding members of the Club Hispana Realizada and a mentor for the Dallas Christian Women’s Job Corps.

Rosario holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Denver, graduating magna cum laude, a degree from Eastfield College, graduating with high honors, and a Certificate in Translation Studies from New York University. Rosario is currently pursuing a Master’s in Communication with a concentration in Marketing Communication and a focus in Creative Writing from the University of Denver.

She was the recipient of the 2019 Hispana Realizada’s Inspiración Hispana (Hispanic Women Inspiration) award, Rosario is also the mother of two wonderful grown children and currently enjoys life in Texas with her husband Asa and their pets. When not working, you can find her serving her community, mentoring her peers, traveling, reading, studying, or practicing ballet.
